While I cannot count it as my own hobby I do want to give a big shout out to my local club, Ligonier Legion, for surprising me with a very special cake to celebrate me being chosen as a Warhammer Hero. In truth, if it wasn't for them I doubt I would have really been as motivated so early on in Age of Sigmar's release. My local group all but crumbled for Fantasy, but I didn't want to see the group pass into memory so I took up the reins to keep Fantasy alive and now we are a thriving community once again! It is fun to run events and share the hobby with all of them and the surprise celebration was a good laugh and very humbling.
As far as my Hobby Table goes I have managed to build some Khinerai and finally begin painting what is possibly my last unit of Witch Aelves in preparation for some pickup games at Adepticon. I am still hunting 20-30 more of the old metal Witch Aelves so I can officially claim the title of having 200+, but it has become harder and harder so time will tell if I and when I reach that goal. Either way, I have a weekend of painting ahead of me so I plan to make a lot of progress on the unit.
A final bit of hobby news is that I am working on some shirts to put out in the wild. When I ran my 1000th Twitter follower giveaway I was a bit blown away by how many people were interested in a Strength Hammer shirt. While the final design may change as I find a good place to "set up shop" for these shirts I am planning to make the current design available to purchase at cost for those who participate in the upcoming Challenge I mentioned earlier.
Other than all that I can confirm that the first episode of the Strength Hammer Podcast has been recorded, but due being sick I have not had a chance to edit or upload it, but I plan to have that done by this Sunday so keep an eye out on my Twitter and Instagram for when it drops! Until then, Happy Hobbying!
