Weekly Hobby Update 5.8.23

 Hello and happy Monday friends!  It's another beautiful week to go crush some hobby and some fitness.  This past week was surprisingly busy with hobby including the first episode of a new podcast I am part of, Broken Concentration: Rediscovering The Old World.  Jon, Andrew, and myself started this podcast to talk all thing Warhammer Fantasy and Old World so be sure to check it out.  To see the rest of my week, check out after the break!

Fitness this past week went alright.  I got a few good gym sessions in, but not nearly as many as I would have liked so it is time to buckle down this week and hit my minimum goals and get to the gym to keep growing this body and hit my goals for my future self.

Hobby this past week saw a few great things get added to my completed pile.  First and foremost is a unit of Bladeguard Veternas for my Dark Angel army as well as The Lion himself!  I couldn't decide on which head option to go with so I magnitized the kit so I could easily swap between each head depending on my mood.  Thankfully the kit lends itself to magnetizing very nicely!  Also, I used the Arkhan the Black model from the Mortarch kit to add the him to my WHFB Tomb King army.  It took a bit of crafting and kitbashing, but I am happy with the final result.

Hobby Purchases from this past week was very simple, but also very special.  I picked up the Store Anniversary model for my Kharadron overlords army.  I look forward to painting this model up this coming week to lead my Sky Fleet!

My weekly game group this past week, The Barn Owls, finally kicked off with Age of Sigmar with some smaller intro games this past week.  It went very well and looking froward to seeing where the group takes their starter armies int he coming months as we grow and play more AoS!

My local club, Ligonier Legion Wargaming, also had a club day this past weekend as well.  AoS happened as well as a game of Fantasy I got in with a returning player and friend.  My Tomb Kings did good work in an excellent game to help him shake the rust off of not playing for a number of years!
