Warhammer Citadel: Age of Sigmar Grad Tournament

Hey Everyone!  In today's post, I want to point you toward an upcoming Age of Sigmar Grand Tournament at the Warhammer Citadel down in Grapevine, TX.  I have yet to make a pilgrimage to the new Warhammer Citadel but seeing these events is some great incentive to plane a trip down.  Being right next to Dallas, TX it makes for an easy trek down with plenty of time to roll dice as well as opportunity to enjoy one of Texas's biggest cities!  There are still tickets available for this Tournament if you have the interest to compete at the U.S. Center for Warhammer, but time is running short so be sure to act soon!

As with any event, there are some good details to know before you head down.  The entire pack can be found here if you want to give it a read.  It will be a standard 2000pt, 5 game tournament using all the latest rules and expansions to Age of Sigmar.  The event will be scoring based on game results, sportsmanship, and army presentation.  This event looks like it will be a great way to meet some Age of Sigmar Enthusiasts from across the U.S.while playing five games of the game we all love in a unique venue!

There will also be a painting competition being held during the weekend in tandem with the Grand Tournament.  It is a separate event, but you can flex your painting muscle with your best models while also competing for the top spots on the tables.  There will be three categories you can compete, Hero of Legend, Company of Legend, and Icon of Legend.

You can find out much more about the Warhammer Citadel by checking out the Warhammer Community article here.  As I said above there are some tickets still available if you are thinking about heading down for the event.  While I haven't made it to the Warhammer Citadel yet I have been to Texas a number of times and the food alone is very much worth the trip!  Combine that with playing Age fo Sigmar and making new friends and you have the makings of a memorable weekend!  While I won't be making it myself perhaps I will see you at the next Grand Tournament at the Citadel!  Until then, Happy Hobbying!
